Ellie Jane Goulding was born in Hereford England on December 30 1986. Tracey Goulding Summers is her mother. Her father Arthur Goulding comes from a funeral home-based family. Goulding was born in the year 2000. Her sisters are, Isabel and Jordan. She has a brother named Alex. Alex is her elder brother and plays the bass in an Hereford group. Alex was encouraged by her mother to study music when she was a young girl. When she was in the 9th grade, she started learning clarinet. When she was 14, she began to compose her first songs however she didn't begin seriously pursuing songwriting till the time she was in college.
